Wordstock, Coffee House, O, Miami, McSweeney's, & Northern Spark 2015 / by Alyson Sinclair

O, Miami, the month-long "Poetry for all" festival returns to Miami in April 2015. O, Miami tests the limits of what’s possible when circulating poems among a community. Miamians should watch out for poetry on buildings, on the river, in the mail, and even in the bathroom. --Scott Cunningham, Director of O, Miami

All night, wonder, wander, illuminate, together. Just announced: the Northern Spark 2015 Festival artists & partners preview!

That Thing You Do With Your Mouth from Samantha Matthews and bestselling author David Shields will be published by McSweeney's on June 9th. I'm excited to be freelancing for my former colleagues. Please email me with media requests.

I've signed on as the publicist for Wordstock 2015! Portland's book festival returns in November 7th, 2015. Literary Arts, Inc. is planning a vibrant re-launch this year in their new home the Portland Art Museum. Visit Literary Arts' site for additional info.

This Winter/Spring, I'm consulting with the fine folks at Coffee House Press. I've been a fan of their books, programming, and staff for years, I encourage all gutsy readers and cultural enthusiasts to check them out. Their Books in Action model & programs (like In the Stacks) make them more than simply a publisher. They are interdisciplinary programmers, collaborators, and incubators for new work and audience experiences—not just with CHP authors, but with visual, performing, and social practice artists, and others whose ideas and work engage and inspire.

AWP is coming to Minneapolis April 8th-11th! I recommend the BOMB / One Story party at the Walker Art Center on April 9th, the Coffee House / Tin House / Guernica party on April 10th at the Local, and the FSG / Paper Darts party on April 11th at Public Functionary. Feel free to connect if you'd like to say hello.
